Alright, THIS is my kind of showjumping!  These courses are not only HUGE, technical, and SCARY AS HELL, they are long and include lots of different terrain.  This is the type of horse you want to ride into war on.  Anyone who completed the course is a horse God in my book, even if they only got through because they damn crazy.  I love the derby!  Check out these great rides :)

  My heart has been broken by the loss of the most incredible showjumper to ever live.  Eric has long been my idol, for many reasons, and Hickstead captured my heart many years ago.  He will forever live on as the greatest little horse to ever enter the showjumping ring.  RIP Hickstead.

The Diving Horse Legend

  If you have never seen the movie Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken, then go see it NOW.  It's on NetFlix I believe...anyways the point of this post is to share a video I found on footagefile's YouTube channel.  I have always been facsinated with diving horses.  This clip showcases the orginal Senora from the movie with her horse "Red Lips".  Personally, I LOVE this, I wish I could be a diving girl to this day, however there is still controversy over the show. What do you think?  Are the horses willing divers? Or are they being forced to jump with fear?

How to Fat Score Your Horse

  As the title says...do you know if your horse is considered "obese"?  It's easy to tell when a horse is underweight, but extra weight can also be detrimental to your horses health.  Check out this video that has some great guidelines to see if your horse is in need of a few less flakes of hay...found on Horsecharity 's YouTube Channel.

  I'm sure most pony lovers have grown up reading the famous "Misty of Chincoteauge", I know I did.  I on the other hand, have been one of the few lucky enough to travel to Chincoteague island and witness this for myself.  Having a horse crazy mother was a bonus for these types of things.  Not only is it something amazing to witness, but Chincoteague and Assateague islands are some of the most beautiful places on earth.  Chincoteague is a town that has held onto its charm, almost like taking a walk back in time there.  I found this video on Wild Pony Tales YouTube Channel

Lamazing

  This will be one of the many videos I will feature on Eric Lamaze.  If you are like me, you have been an Eric lamaze fan supreme from the beginning.  Through the good, the bad, and the ugly.  Now us Lamaze fans are basking in the success that Eric has had the last few years.  There is little doubt in everyone's mind that he could possible the greatest show-jumping rider alive.  Of course, he thanks it all to Hickstead, his once in a lifetime little stallion.  Here is a Rolex moment with the show-jumping legend, and man who shows that if you really want something, no matter how bad you have had it in the past, it is yours for the taking.  He is an inspiration to all equestrians.  Eric and Hickstead won the CN International this year :)  Along with pretty much everything else they entered.
